Jerusalem Awards

The Jerusalem Awards is our programme for Christian broadcasters in radio. The Jerusalem Awards have seven strands - each with its own £2,000 prize:

CHRISTMAS ’08 – broadcast after 7am and before midnight between December 16th to 25th inclusive.

SHORTS – a feature no more than 3-minutes long - perhaps a ‘Thought for the Day’, an advertisement or just a very short programme.

PERSPECTIVES – Christian content but not necessarily part of a religious programme. commercial or BBC radio.

INTERNET AUDIO – audio content produced specifically for the internet.

GOOD FRIDAY ’09 – broadcast on 10th April 2009 after 7am and before midnight.

IPTV – the best contribution to on-demand internet television.

MADE FOR MOBILE – Christian communication involving mobiles – text, podcasts and vodcasts.

Every entry will be considered automatically for 3 further awards, each of £1,000:-

ENVIRONMENT – the Christian and biblical basis of ecology.

UNDER-25s – producers or presenters.

Anyone can nominate a programme - producers as well as listeners, and producers can nominate themselves. The one essential is that nominated programmes reflect the Christian faith.

Nominations for all the categories in 2008/9 will be processed throughout the year and the final closing date for nominations is 1st May 2009.

Cheques, certificates and trophies will be presented at our annual awards ceremony. Certificates and trophies for all our awards are given at the discretion of Jerusalem Productions Limited.
