The Directors of Jerusalem Productions are keen to use the internet and social media to increase understanding and knowledge of the Christian religion and values.

Jerusalem Productions was involved in two exciting projects over Christmas 2011.

The Nativity Factor

This exciting new competition for Christmas 2011 was produced by ITN for its Christmas Channel. It is all too easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas. This exciting and interactive project was designed to remind everyone that Christmas is a holiday when Christians mark the birth of Jesus Christ, using the power of online video to deliver the true meaning of Christmas. Budding filmmakers were encouraged to create their version of the Nativity story. It was open to all, whether a film student with access to a full edit suite or a bus driver with a camera on their mobile phone. The films were judged both by the public and by a panel of experts. Roll on Christmas

Another new Christmas project for 2011, Roll On Christmas is an interactive Nativity play on Facebook, created by Ship of Fools. Users have the chance to cast their Facebook friends as characters from the Nativity story; they decide who to cast as shepherd, wise man, angel, innkeeper and others. Designed to be highly interactive, Roll On Christmas can be passed on to friends who can then cast their own characters and share their own play. Designed to be accessible to all, this exciting project uses social networking to share a simple reminder of the story of Christmas.
